What happens when a magician who makes a living conjuring ghosts actually encounters a real ghost? The directorial debut of Love Phobia and Two Faces of My Girlfriend screenwriter Hwang In Ho, Spellbound brings together Korean romantic comedy cuteness with horror movie chills. A big hit at the box office, the chilling romance stars Lee Min Ki (Quick) as the hapless hero and the always charming Son Ye Jin (White Night) as the quirky girlfriend with a supernatural connection.

Every magician needs a unique gimmick and Jo Goo's (Lee Min Ki) is horror. His magic shows scare and thrill the audience by calling out a vengeful spirit, played by assistant Yeo Ri (Son Ye Jin). It was Yeo Ri's introverted, gloomy presence that inspired Jo Goo to turn his street tricks into a successful horror show. What the ghost-summoning magician doesn't know is that Yeo Ri really can see ghosts. Ever since a near-death experience years ago, Yeo Ri has been haunted by the ghost of her high school friend and driven to a life of loneliness. Everyone close to her has been chased away by her ghostly companions. Jo Goo, however, cluelessly invites himself into Yeo Ri's home and falls in love with her, raising the dangerous ire of Yeo Ri's resentful dead friend.
